Ten Rivers SystemsGet in touch

One person, start to finish.

Ten Rivers Systems is a one-person practice. I'm Ryan, and you work with me from the first call through to the handover. No account manager, no junior doing the configuration, nobody else picking it up halfway through.

Most jobs start the same way. A business has added one tool at a time, and none of them were built to talk to each other. The specifics change from one business to the next. The cause rarely does.

What I'll do for you.

The list is short and it does not change much. Moving QuickBooks Desktop files to QuickBooks Online. Sales tax in Avalara. Bill.com for paying bills. Shopify wired into the books. NetSuite after a go-live, when the implementation is signed off and the settings still fight you. And system reviews, which are how most of the rest start. Each one has its own page.

The work written up on this site began, in each case, as a QuickBooks Desktop migration and did not stop there. A real estate developer's books were locked in a Desktop file, so every access request and every quick question became a bottleneck. An online retailer moving off Desktop also needed bills paid from one place and Shopify posting itself. Each case says what was wrong, what I did, and what changed.

Why the guides exist.

When something comes up often enough that I have explained it twice, I write it down properly. The guides are those explanations: what actually happens when a file is too big to convert, why a reconciliation looks different after a migration, which QuickBooks plan fits. They are the same explanations I would give you on a call.

Every engagement ends with a written handover. Most clients don't need me again until their next big change.

How the work is priced and handed over.

Work is scoped as a fixed fee before it starts, and it ends when the system runs and the write-up is done. The write-up is as much the deliverable as the configuration: what changed, why, and what to watch, in the language you would use to explain it to your bookkeeper. Your accountant, or whoever you hire next, can pick it up without calling me.

Ten Rivers Systems LLC is registered in North Carolina and works with small businesses across the United States.
